5.Koiwai Noboku Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan)
1. History
Our company was established on April 1, 1938, with a capital of 2 million yen, with the main purpose of stock raising, agriculture, and forestry, and our head office is located in Marunouchi, Tokyo, and we acquired and managed Koiwai Farm, which was previously owned by Baron Hisaya Iwasaki. The name Koiwai Farm has been known to the general public for a long time, and its history began in 1891 with the joint founding of Yoshima Ono, Baron Yanosuke Iwasaki, and Viscount Katsuzo Inoue, and the name Koiwai was derived from the initials of these three men. Viscount Yotonada Fujinami became the first manager, and after passing through various clans such as Sosuke Niiyama, Ryuji Akahoshi, Masao Okumura, and Michitomo Masaki, the current position was taken over by Tsutomuji Toda. At first, the purpose was to clear and cultivate land using American-style large-scale farming methods with the aim of modernizing agriculture, but in 1899, Baron Hisaya Iwasaki took over the farm and established a policy of stock-raising, often importing breeding stock from Europe and other countries of origin. The main business was the production of breeding stock, and the property division of the Mitsubishi Limited Partnership Company was in charge of management. After that, in 1916, when the ” Iwasaki Family Office ” was established, it became a member of this office, and then in 1912, it moved to the entrusted management of Tozan Noji Co., Ltd., and on April 1, 1938, it was newly established as Koiwai Noboku Co., Ltd. All head office operations will be handled by Tozan Noji Co., Ltd., and Koiwai Farm will be handled in the same manner as each company location.
